Ahmed Hassan

Vice President and General Manager, Accordant


Ahmed Hassan

As General Manager, Ahmed F. Hassan oversees the operations, product development, sales and account management of Accordant. Previously, as a Senior Director of Product Development, he drove strategy, development, and implementation of initiatives that integrate technology, clinical, and engagement to improve the Accordant experience for members, payors, and providers.

Mr. Hassan started his career at Accenture where he was a part of the firm's emerging technology strategy and product development team. He has since held various leadership positions across a range of healthcare and technology organizations in strategy, operations and product management. Prior to joining Accordant, Mr. Hassan was part of Oliver Wyman's Health & Life Sciences consulting practice where he helped the firm's payers, providers and pharmaceutical clients adapt to the changing healthcare landscape.

Mr. Hassan holds a Bachelors of Engineering degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Dr. Krueger is the Medical Director for Accordant Health Services and is responsible for the company's Medical Affairs Department. He was previously employed by SHPS, Inc., where he served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for National Health Services with responsibility for developing and establishing clinical policies and strategic quality initiatives. Prior to SHPS, he was with Humana Health Plans, Inc. from 1993 through 2002, as both a provider and Medical Director in the corporate office. He had direct responsibility for Transplant Management, Technology Assessment, and was Medical Director in support of Corporate Pharmacy Management.

Dr. Krueger is trained and board certified in internal medicine and has served on several professional committees. He earned his degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Gundersen Medical Foundation in Wisconsin, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Stephen Gaddis is responsible for the strategic direction and overall performance of Accordant's nationwide service operations. He comes to Accordant with over 20 years of combined experience in the healthcare, health services, and health technology industries.

Mr. Gaddis spent the first part of his career developing healthcare software focusing on database design, application design, and reporting analytics. He spent a number of years working in health insurance focusing his time on capacity management, process engineering, and technology integration. The latter part of his career has been spent devoted to building and leading large-scale, patient-focused service operations and ensuring operational excellence company-wide.

Mr. Gaddis has background in computer science and holds an M.B.A with an emphasis in healthcare management from the University of Central Florida. He is a native to Port Orange, FL where he currently resides with his wife, Lisa, and his two daughters, Sophia and Stella.

Wendy Chadwell is responsible for Clinical Operations Support Services which encompasses the following departments: Clinical Review, Education, Implementation and Intake.

Ms. Chadwell joined Accordant in 1998 and held positions as a Case Manager and Manager prior to assuming her current position in 2001.

Before joining Accordant, Ms. Chadwell served as a Utilization Review Nurse at Aetna and held positions within Quality Departments at local hospitals in both Ohio and North Carolina.

Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina, Ms. Chadwell graduated from Aultman School of Nursing, and Bellevue University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. Ms. Chadwell is a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Nurse and a Certified Case Manager.

As Director of Quality and Accreditation for Accordant Health Services, Paula Maness has responsibility for quality program activities, accreditation, training and continuing education and the nursing licensure team.

Ms. Maness has been with Accordant Health Services since 1997, and has held positions as Specialty Services Advisor, Trainer and Education Manager prior to assuming her current role.

Ms. Maness holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University and is a Certified Case Manager. She has worked in various clinical settings, with primary focus in critical care; she has also held positions in utilization management in the hospital, as well as in managed care settings in North Carolina and Texas.

Brian Mullenix is responsible for Specialty Pharmacy support services encompassing Compliance and Persistency, Site of Care, Medication Adherence, AccordantCare Specialty, and New Client Implementations.

Brian joined CVS Health in 2008 as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. His experience includes providing oversight for Specialty Pharmacy Services and managing new client implementations for Accordant and CVS Health.

Brian received his bachelor's degree from Liberty University. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from the Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
