ASCVD Risk Calculator

Do you want to know your chances for a heart attack or stroke over the next 10 years? There is a tool from the American Heart Association to help you find out. Click the link below to get your score. Then, talk to your doctor about your score and things you can do to keep your risk low.

The higher your score, the greater your chances for a heart attack or stroke. If your 10 year risk score is 7.5% or higher, your doctor may suggest trying medicine. Eating healthy foods, being active, and quitting smoking can help keep your score as low as possible. Medicine might also be needed if you already have heart or blood vessel disease. If your score is less than 7.5%, your doctor may still want you to make some lifestyle changes or take medicine. No matter what your score is, there are things you can do to help your heart. Together, you and your doctor can decide what you need to do.

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
